Martin Luther King's Train

My inspiration for the martin luther king's train piece was the fact that his movement couldn't be stopped by anything. Even after he was executed his movement only grew in power. If not for this powerful movement we wouldn't be able to be where we were today.

For this piece i used layers of colored pencil alongside normal led pencil to make the illusion of a train going through a dark night sky with white light breaking through at the front of the train. This was my intention with the dark layers in the background also i wanted a message to be conveyed in the cursive writing at the bottom.

The Sphinx

Me and my class were challenged to emulate a different artists design style into a piece of original art. The artist i chose was the artist of symbolism gustav klimt. I made the sphinx because the sphinx is a giant symbol in itself as long as i make its eyes the eyes of horus another very religious symbol in the ancient egyptians history. I also made the cat's body golden because cats care about hygiene above all else so the cat's body would be very valuable to it as gold is valuable to the egyptians.

For this piece i used a variety of acrylic paint. The golden color was reached by me adding layers of yellow paint with golden glitter mixed into it. The rest of the body i just used regular acrylic paint. The eyes where the hardest part because the paint would smear into others since the black is so over powering.

Grid Drawing

My inspiration for my grid drawing was the fact i was asked to do it in class for a grade. I honestly wouldn't have wanted to do it otherwise. Although it was probably my funnest project.

I made my grid drawing by first using the gridded paper provided to me and making agrid on a larger paper based off the smaller paper. Then using pencils and shading and crosshatching for almost a week i created this piece of art.

The Reflection Of The Racoon

My inspiration for this was my love of racoons and other fluffy animals.

Then also i had to do a reflection and raccoons are curious and so i put it looking into a mirror. Then the raccoon is in a forest so there are leaves all around it.

I used an all black canvas to do this with a white colored pencil.

I also used a picture of a real raccoon.

Also i used a mirror and boarder that i found a picture of to make this piece of art.
